    The Grapes🍇 of Wrath

1930s, the whole America was suffering from the Great Depression. The Joad family was forced to leave their farm in Oklahoma due the pressures of the heartles bank and the devastating weather problem named as Dust Bowl. With a Preacher along, they set out to California, so called the “Promised Land”, a land full of new oppotunities, jobs with descent payment and sweet fruits. However, is it true or is it just a lullaby for poors.

The Grapes of Wrath is a book thst’s depressing and sinister, but within the sadness there are small moments that are sweet and beautiful. And Stienbeck managed to blend those two seamlessly together and made a story that’s normal but extremely touching. The most important thing that made the book a nobel prize winner is that as you read, you realise the actual soul of the tale is Steinbeck’s thoughts toward the society or as people called it Steinbeck’s social theory. Again, he manage to combine all his thoughts into the story inconspicously.

The story line itself might be slightly boring compare to other new novel, since its not the most exciting book in the world. However, I do garantee it’s the most interesting story in mankidn history without a doubt.

The Grapes of Wrath is truely a master piece. It’s a magnificent tale that mange to expose the dark side of the Great Depression era and the author’s own thoughts about what society should be like. It’s a book that matters to eveyrone in anytime.
