Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor

Magnus Chase and the hammer of Thor

This book is, in my opinion, very interesting. I read Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor. This book is written by the world famous author Rick Riordan. I would rate it on a scale of one to ten, nine and a half. It is based around Norse Mythology, and it is hilarious. To enjoy this book, you may need to read the prequel to it, or the original book if that book is the sequel of the original book. The book is about an einherjar, one of the royal warriors in Norse mythology, was sent to retrieve Thor’s hammer which was unofficially missing. Thor couldn’t do it himself because then he would miss his favorite television shows.

The einherjar’s name was Magnus Chase, and the rest of the book was on Magnus retrieving the hammer, in a humorous way. My favorite character was a kitchen chef with the name of Amir. He could fly a plane and helped the einherji by flying them and making delicious falafel. The story made me laugh a lot and I can’t put it down. I read until midnight when I finally finished the book. I thought the book was good, but it was too long, and I got bored in the middle. I would recommend the book for people who like adventure and humor, probably around the age of 12-13.

I really loved the first book - The Sword of Summer, but I'm not a big fan of series so didn't continue to the next one. This sounds good though so I will give it a go! Thanks
