After a plane crash a couple of school boys are stranded on an island they must find they’re own way out without any adults. Their journey isn’t exactly an adventure, more of a messed up nightmare. The characters all have a very real feel, this is especially scary because it shows anyone could do the exact same thing as they did in the book.
The story drops so many hints about what’s going to happen in later chapters and yet readers such as myself can’t pick up on them until the event actually occurs. Tension is built up really fast in this book and every time there is tension it usually gets linked in with other tense parts of the story in later chapters.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book is how it frustrates me in the ending with it’s cliffhanger, it’s biggest most tense moment is just stopped by an unexpected twist.
